Ask a question about our English courses in London, or tell us which study pathway you are considering. Our team reads every enquiry and replies with the details you need to decide.

How to reach the academy

The Dress English Academy is based in Bloomsbury, in central London, a short walk from Tottenham Court Road and Holborn stations. Our office and teaching rooms sit inside a Georgian square, and we run general English, business English and exam-preparation courses for adult learners from the UK and overseas. If you are unsure which course suits your level, phone us before you register and we will talk through the options.

We answer emails and calls during our opening hours. If you write to us outside those times, your enquiry lands in the queue and we pick it up on the next working morning. If you would rather ask your question in person, you are welcome to call ahead and arrange a time to visit the office.

What happens once you write to us

A message from the registration form, an email or a phone call all follow the same route. No automated replies, no sales calls, and no sharing of your details with third parties.

We read your enquiry

A member of the team reviews the course you are interested in, your current level and any dates you have given. Questions about visas, accommodation or study length are forwarded to the right person rather than answered from memory.

We reply with options

You hear back with the courses that match your level, the format each one runs in, and the intake dates currently open. Where more than one pathway fits, we say so plainly and explain the difference.

You decide the next step

There is no deadline attached to our reply. Once you have asked your questions and the details are confirmed, the Register button on this page takes you to the form where you can register your interest in a course.

Finding us in Bloomsbury

We are on Bedford Square, a quiet Georgian square in Bloomsbury between Oxford Street and the British Museum. The nearest Underground stations are Tottenham Court Road and Holborn, and several bus routes run along Gower Street and New Oxford Street. If you are travelling from outside London, Euston, King's Cross and St Pancras are all within a short taxi ride.

Visitors are welcome by appointment. If you would like to see the classrooms, meet a tutor, or collect a printed overview of our courses, call or email first and we will arrange a time that works around lesson hours. The map below shows the address; the entrance sits on the east side of the square.

Questions we are asked most often

A few answers that save a phone call. If your question is not here, the form above is the fastest way to ask it.

How long does it take to hear back?

Most enquiries sent through this form or by email are answered within two working days. If you phone during opening hours, you will usually speak to someone straight away. Enquiries that arrive over the weekend are picked up on Monday morning.

Do I need to know my level before registering?

No. Tell us what you can do in English at the moment, or simply say you are not sure, and we will suggest a pathway and explain what a placement would involve. Many people register interest first and settle the level question later.

Can I visit the school before I decide?

Yes, by appointment. Phone or email us and we will find a time outside lesson hours so someone can show you the rooms and answer questions in person. Please book ahead rather than dropping in, as the office is small.

What happens to the information I send?

Your name, email address and phone number are used to answer your enquiry and, if you go on to register, to hold your place on a course. We do not pass your details to third parties for marketing. Our Privacy Policy sets out how the information is stored and how to ask for it to be removed.
